OIBortho started with a simple goal: make sure their patients could always reach them, even after the office closed. In just a few months, they built something bigger than they planned — a steady, always-open way for anyone with a bone, joint, or muscle injury to get help. Here is how they did it, and what their numbers look like 146 days in.
"In 77 days, we moved from launch to infrastructure."

The problem every practice knows
Injuries don't wait for office hours. Someone tweaks a knee on Saturday morning or wakes up with a swollen ankle at 9 p.m. If they can't reach their orthopedic office, they end up at urgent care, the ER, or another practice down the road. Most offices never even see it happen. Those patients simply slip away.
"Before joining the HURT! network, we often lost patients who couldn't make it to our office or urgent care during business hours. They had to go somewhere else, including the local hospital ER. We're always looking for better ways to take care of our patients, and HURT! was a natural fit. Now our patients can get help on their own schedule. The partnership has been a real success, and the feedback from our community has been all positive."

What OIBortho built
On December 19, 2025, OIBortho launched OIBorthoNOW, powered by HURT! It gave patients a way to get orthopedic help any time of day, right from the website they already use. No new staff. No new system to learn. A few weeks later, they made it even simpler: patients could start without signing up first.
It came together fast
From the first planning meeting to full launch took about five weeks. Here is how it rolled out.

The results kept growing
At 77 days, the early numbers already looked strong. By 146 days, most of them had nearly doubled. Here is where things stood in May.

A few of the wins worth celebrating:
- 448 people registered, up from 223.
- 304 turned into real cases — more than double the early count.
- 68 of every 100 who registered went on to create a case, up from 57.
- Half of all cases turned into a real office appointment.
- More than half of the activity happened at night or on weekends, when the office was closed.
Every number moved in the right direction. The longer OIBorthoNOW ran, the better it worked.
And behind every one of these numbers is a real person — someone who got hurt and got help, often late at night or on a weekend, instead of waiting and worrying until Monday.
"The number that stands out most to our team is the 54% of activity during nights and weekends. It shows how much people need orthopedic help after hours. We're proud to partner with HURT! and give patients somewhere to turn when their options are limited."

Where the patients came from
Over 146 days, OIBorthoNOW's landing page pulled in 3,898 visits. And they didn't come from one place — they came from everywhere OIBortho already lives: their website, their waiting rooms, their community events, and their social media.

More than half landed there straight from OIBortho's own website. Their own community audience, reaching out on their own time. That is what makes it last: it fits into how the practice already works, every day.
"What I've noticed is that patients using HURT! figure out their best next step faster. After they talk to a specialist, they can book their appointment online right away if that's what's best. They're not waiting to call in on Monday morning, which is better for the patient and for our front desk."

New patient mix reflects data reported through SuperDash. Direct EMR integration is in the works, so this figure will get more complete over time.
Questions practices ask
What is OIBorthoNOW?
OIBorthoNOW is OIBortho's 24/7 orthopedic access point, powered by HURT! Patients can reach the practice any time of day from the website they already use, then get pointed to the right next step and book a visit.
How does HURT! help practices be there for patients after hours?
More than half of injury activity happens at night and on weekends, when most offices are closed. HURT! gives patients a clear way to reach their practice and find the right next step, so they get help when they need it instead of waiting or heading to the ER.
Does adding HURT! require new staff or software?
No. OIBortho added HURT! to the website they already had, with no new hires and no new system to learn. It runs alongside how the practice already works.
How fast can a practice launch HURT!?
OIBortho went from their first planning meeting to a full launch in about five weeks.
What results did OIBortho see with HURT!?
In 146 days, OIBortho saw 448 registrations and 304 cases. About 68% of registrations turned into a case, half of all cases turned into an office visit, and more than half of the activity happened after hours.
Could this work for your practice?
OIBortho didn't add staff or rebuild anything. They gave their patients one clear way to reach them, any hour of the day — and their patients showed up. If you want your patients to have that same after-hours front door, here's how it starts.
